Cookies & privacy
Baanseek.ai is a prototype. This page states plainly what this site actually stores on your device today, what happens to information you choose to submit, and how to reach us about it — not a template legal disclaimer.
What we store
- One session cookie (
bsk_sid) — an anonymous, randomly-generated id, valid for 30 days, so the assistant can remember your search preferences (budget, area, requirements) across turns in the same conversation. It does not identify you personally. - One local-storage key — a cached id for your default shortlist/plan, so items you save don't get lost between visits on the same device.
- One session-storage key — used only to carry a search query you just typed from the homepage into the chat page; it is read once and cleared immediately, and never leaves your browser.
- An account cookie — only if you explicitly sign in to create an account, so you stay signed in across visits.
What we don't do
- No third-party advertising or tracking cookies — none are loaded on this site.
- No analytics SDK from Google, Meta, or any other third party.
- We never sell or share what you type with anyone outside this product.
Product analytics
We record a small set of first-party, in-house usage events (e.g. a search was run, a card was clicked) to understand which parts of the product are useful. These events are keyed to your anonymous session id, never to your name or email unless you've signed in, and are used only to improve this prototype.
Viewing requests
If you submit a "Request a viewing" form, the name, contact number, email, and any notes you provide are stored so our team can follow up with you directly, and an internal notification is sent for that purpose. Submitting a request never triggers automated contact or booking — a person reviews it. As a prototype, this information is kept until manually removed rather than deleted on a fixed schedule — see "Your data, your control" below for how to have it removed sooner.
Clearing this data
Clearing your browser's cookies and site data for this domain removes the session cookie, the cached plan id, and resets your cookie-consent choice — the assistant starts fresh next visit, as if you were a first-time visitor. This does not remove information you've separately submitted through a "Request a viewing" form, since that is stored on our side, not in your browser.
Your data, your control
As a small prototype, we don't yet have a dedicated privacy-request inbox. If you've submitted a "Request a viewing" form and want that information corrected or deleted, the most reliable way today is to let our team know when they follow up with you directly — every submission is reviewed by a real person who can act on it. We'll keep improving this as the product matures.
